Who the heck is 'Mises'?
What does 'Beyond Mises' mean... and why should you care?
If you are not a student of Austrian Economics, you probably do not know who Mises was... and if you are, you surely do know. Ludwig von Mises was arguably the greatest Austrian School economist of the twentieth century.
And what is Austrian Economics? It is the only school of economics rooted in the realities of Human action. It is also the only school of economics that has correctly predicted the failure of our current monetary 'system'... and explained the underlying reason for the failure.
Ludwig von Mises was the economist who not only contributed greatly to the progress of Austrian Economics, but who also carried the Austrian school through lean times. Keynes' contrary theories were embraced by statists world over, and Austrians were by and large ignored for the better part of the twentieth century.
Remember Richard Nixon's cry "We are All Keynesians Now?" In spite of ridicule and marginalization, Mises carried his work on in all integrity. The very survival of the Austrian School is largely to his credit.
Unfortunately the truth will out... and the fallacies and outright lies embodied in Keynesian 'economics' are now becoming all too clear... as the Global Financial Crisis gathers steam. Only Austrian Economics gives a clear, logical explanation of the root cause of this crisis. Interestingly, Austrian Economics is making a comeback!
Mises was a great economist, but his word is not the final word... there is always room and need to carry knowledge to new levels. Professor Antal Fekete is the monetary scientist who has indeed taken Mises' work, and Austrian Economics, to new levels. My book, Beyond Mises, is based on the work of Antal Fekete.
I wrote the book to make Professor Fekete's work and Austrian economics accessible. To bring his wisdom to the majority of us who are not economists by training or inclination. To show you that at the root, economics is actually simple and understandable.
Want to understand the fundamentals of money and credit?... this book is for you. Want to understand the destruction of money and the true cause of the 'financial crisis'?... this book is for you.
Want to learn what is the only possible way to resolve the crisis?... this book is for you. Of course, I do suspect that most 'mainstream' economists, Keynesians all, will not believe that this book is for them!
Want to understand the fundamentals of money and credit?... this book is for you.
Want to understand the destruction of money and the true cause of the 'financial crisis'?... this book is for you.
The crisis first became visible through the bankruptcy of corporations, like Lehman Brothers, Bear Sterns, General Motors, Northern Rock… etc. It is now spreading to countries; that is, the so called Sovereign Debt issue is becoming visible. The real causes however are still not discussed in the mainstream media; the real causes of the GFC are what this blog is about. Click to read blog: http://rudyjf.wordpress.com/
